Practice numbers and listening skills on Valentine's Day! This Spanish numbers listening activity will hold the attention of your students as they make their way around the oval and write the numbers that you dictate. After all numbers are dictated, students quickly do the math and find the correct number based on the numbers that they hear and wrote and how accurate their math skills are. They will be anxious to raise their hands and share their results! You choose the numbers for the activity so it can be used for very basic numbers or large numbers, depending on what your focus is. Teacher instructions and suggestions are included.
Spanish Thanksgiving Skit / Reader's Theater, and Translations - This is a 30 line dialogue for 6 people that can be used as a skit or a reader's theater, if desired. The 6 people are preparing to eat Thanksgiving dinner. The characters are: Abuelo, Abuela, Javier, Rosa, Mamá, and Papá. The 2 children have conversations with their grandparents while the mom and dad do final preparations for the dinner. They then join the rest at the table. The dialogue contains many Thanksgiving food words, plus many useful phrases such as pásame, claro que sí, te gusta, me encanta, qué lástima, tengo sed, tengo mucha hambre, por supuesto, vale, voy a tomar, and more. French Christmas Flashcards and PowerPoint Presentation 66 Slides - This presentation contains 32 different words associated with Christmas and the holiday season. Examples are: reveillon de Noel, Saint-Sylvestre, veille de Noel, gui, chants de Noel, jouets, Trois Rois, bonhomme de neige, traineau, and creche. The first half of the presentation contains images that come out first followed by the French word on mouse click. This is a colorful presentation for presenting and reviewing holiday vocabulary.
The second half of the presentation contains the same words, with the image and French words. These contain 2 of the same word per slide so you will have 2 sets when printed.

Spanish Thanksgiving 4 x 4 Matching Squares Puzzle - Students assemble a 4 x 4 Spanish/English vocabulary puzzle with 25 words associated with Thanksgiving. Sample words are:
pavo, relleno, pastel de calabaza, tele, desfile, familia, salsa de carne, dia de fiesta, peregrino, and nieve.
Several words are repeated which makes the puzzle more challenging. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. There is a list of all words alongside the puzzle in Spanish and English. This can be used as a vocabulary bookmark and reference.
